Is there anything in life that can be proven? Are the absolute truths? In math and science, we have tried to prove complicated ideas by using simpler ideas. But how do we actually prove those basic ideas? How can we prove that 1+1=2. I think this can be understood easily by intuition. we, as a group of people, as a society, as a community, agree that 1 represents a "thing" and that a "thing" and another "things" gives us two "things" which we agreed to be represented as a 2.
But can we prove other things? That sounds much more daunting. For example, can someone prove that love exists? Sure I can witness acts of love, but I never actually "see" love. Don't get me wrong, I 100% believe in love. But I won't deny that I get scared. What if it doesn't exist and that it's just some construct of the human mind? I do believe that love is not only real but very important, but I'm also not scarred of saying that I am frightened by the idea that it might not.
